Many Thanks to All

Thank you for your joyous generosity of time, talent and treasure during the past six months. As always, there has been wonderful support for our many ministries including: the Community Based Homeless Shelter Meal Week, our four food collections to support St Martin's food pantry, the Fair Trade Sale, Gifts from the Heart and the Giving Tree. It is a pleasure and inspiration to work and serve with such loving fellow parishioners. Blessings, Teresa

St. Rose Outreach Ministry
"Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours, yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion is to look out to the earth, yours are the feet by which He is to go about doing good and yours are the hands by which He is to bless us now." --St Teresa of Avila

Community Based Homeless Shelter Meals - Week of March 3-9. St Rose provides weekly meals twice a year for the women's community based shelter in Rockville. Everything is needed: main courses, vegetables, salads, desserts, drinks, paper goods, breakfast foods and bag lunches. If you have never been able to go to the shelter to serve the meal, I encourage you to try to do so some time this year. It is a true blessing to meet the women and be a part of their lives, even if only for a few hours. Our second collection will be the week of September 22-28.

CRS Rice Bowl - What do you do with your pocket change? This is an excellent Lenten ministry that benefits the poor throughout the world. It is a wonderful activity to teach children that they too can help, one penny at a time. Rice bowls will be handed out on Ash Wednesday. For more information and resources go online: http://orb.crs.org

SUDS collection - Drop socks, underwear, deodorant and soap off in the Church Foyer the weekend of March 16-17. All items will go to those in need at local homeless shelters.
